1. Scope

This statement applies to custom aluminium planters, screening and balustrading supplied by PO Box Designs, whether fabricated at our Ballarat workshop or produced by our offshore manufacturing partner. Both are held to the same specifications and standards.

2. Standards Referenced

Our products and processes reference the following standards and accreditations, as applicable to the product and project:

AS 1866 / AS 2848	Aluminium extruded / wrought products — material reference where applicable.
NCC / BCA	National Construction Code — balustrade and barrier requirements (heights, loadings) where our products form part of a barrier.
AS 1170	Structural design actions — loadings referenced for balustrade/barrier design where applicable.
ISO 9001	Quality management system principles underpinning our QMS.
ISO 2859-1 (AQL)	Statistical sampling for inspection by attributes — used in third-party inspection of imported product.

Project-specific standards. The exact standards and compliance requirements vary by product and project — particularly for balustrading, which may be a structural barrier under the NCC. We confirm the applicable standards for each project with the design team and provide compliance documentation accordingly.

3. Finishes

Powder-coat finishes are applied by Dulux Accredited Powder Coaters to AS 3715. Finish warranties are provided in accordance with the applied Dulux system and our Warranty Policy, subject to the maintenance schedule in our Powder-Coated Finishes Maintenance Guide.

4. Imported Product — Compliance Verification

Product manufactured by our offshore partner is subject to the same drawings, specifications and finish standards as locally fabricated product, and is independently verified before shipment:

• Independent third-party inspection — we engage HQTS, an established independent third-party quality inspection company, to inspect imported product against our specifications.
• Recognised sampling standard — inspections use AQL sampling to ISO 2859-1, with agreed acceptable quality limits, so results are statistically based and defensible.
• Documented results — each inspection produces a written report with a Pass/Pending/Fail result and photographic evidence, retained against the job.
• Material traceability — mill certificates and material information are obtained for imported material where required.

5. Compliance Documentation Available

On request, and as applicable to the product and project, we can provide: material certificates / mill certificates; powder-coat finish and Dulux accreditation details; third-party (HQTS) inspection reports for imported product; and product-specific compliance information referenced to the applicable standards.
