1. Purpose & Scope

This policy applies to all operations of Bubbalooba Pty Ltd trading as PO Box Designs, including our Ballarat workshop, our offshore manufacturing partner, delivery activities, and the products we supply. It sets out our environmental commitments and the practical actions we take to meet them.

2. Our Commitments

• Compliance — we comply with all applicable Commonwealth and Victorian environmental legislation and regulations, and with the requirements of the projects and principals we supply.
• Material efficiency — we design and nest our aluminium components to minimise offcut and sheet waste, and we plan production to reduce scrap.
• Aluminium recyclability — aluminium is infinitely recyclable without loss of quality. We prioritise it as a material and recover and recycle aluminium offcuts and swarf through licensed recyclers.
• Responsible finishing — our powder-coating finishes are applied by accredited coaters using low-VOC powder coating processes, which produce minimal hazardous waste compared with wet-spray systems.
• Energy & emissions — we work to reduce energy use across our workshop and to plan efficient delivery routing, batching deliveries to reduce transport emissions per item.
• Waste hierarchy — we apply the waste hierarchy — avoid, reduce, reuse, recycle — before disposal, and segregate waste streams for recycling wherever practical.
• Supply chain — we engage suppliers and our offshore partner who share our commitment to responsible environmental practice.

3. Aluminium — a Responsible Material Choice

Aluminium is one of the most sustainable materials available for architectural applications. It is lightweight, durable, corrosion-resistant and fully recyclable at end of life with no degradation in quality. Recycling aluminium uses a fraction of the energy required to produce primary aluminium. Our products are designed for long service life, and their recyclability supports the circular-economy and sustainability objectives of the projects we supply.

4. Responsibilities

The Managing Director holds overall responsibility for this policy. All staff and contractors are expected to work in accordance with it and to support our environmental objectives in their day-to-day activities.

5. Review & Continuous Improvement

We monitor our environmental performance and review this policy periodically to reflect changes in our operations, technology and legislation, and to set improved objectives over time.
